On November 30, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held a selection round within the Human Capital Priorities Stream. During this event, the OINP extended 1,052 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to individuals possessing professional experience in healthcare-related positions. The selected candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Express Entry scores ranging from 404 to 430 points. In the course of this year, the province has now welcomed a total of 15,143 candidates through thirteen draws conducted under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. For the entirety of 2023, Ontario has issued a cumulative total of 36,865 invitations across all streams of the OINP.

On the other hand, individuals can secure permanent residency by directly applying to a ‘base’ PNP stream. After obtaining a provincial nomination, their application for permanent residency is processed by the federal government.
