What is IEC?
If you are a Canadian citizen between the ages of 18 and 35, the International Experience Canada (IEC) program offers you a fantastic opportunity to work and travel abroad. Through IEC, you can obtain a work permit or visa that allows you to work and explore in more than 30 countries and territories.
By participating in IEC, you can gain valuable international work experience, which can elevate your career to new heights. Also, you can create lifelong connections and contribute to strengthening Canada’s position in the global workforce. Besides, you have the opportunity to embrace the world as you work, allowing you to discover your strengths and find inspiration along the way. The IEC program has agreements with over 30 countries and foreign territories, making it easier for Canadian youth to work and travel abroad. These agreements are reciprocal, meaning that youth from these countries and territories can also experience easier access to work and travel opportunities in Canada.
