What is International Experience Canada?
If you’re a Canadian citizen aged 18 to 35, the International Experience Canada (IEC) program presents an exceptional chance for you to engage in work and travel overseas. Through IEC, you can secure a work permit or visa that permits you to both work and explore in over 30 countries and territories.
By participating in the IEC initiative, you can acquire invaluable international work experience, which has the potential to propel your career to new heights. Furthermore, you can establish enduring connections and play a role in fortifying Canada’s standing in the global workforce. Additionally, this opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in different cultures as you work, enabling you to uncover your own strengths and find inspiration along your journey. The IEC program has established agreements with more than 30 countries and foreign territories, streamlining the process for Canadian youth to engage in work and travel experiences abroad. These agreements operate on a reciprocal basis, meaning that youth from these nations and territories can also enjoy simplified access to work and travel opportunities within Canada.
