On July 20, 2023, the Government of British Columbia made an announcement regarding an increment in the BCPNP Skills Immigration application fee. The fee for Skills Immigration applications will be raised by $325, with the primary aim of enhancing the level of customer service provided. To attract and retain skilled workers, the program has taken measures to enhance its services and support for employers, clients, nominees, and community partners. Additionally, the program is focusing on international recruitment in priority areas experiencing a shortage of labor while also strengthening its program integrity by conducting anti-fraud investigations. Starting from August 1, 2023, the revised BCPNP Skills Immigration application fee will be $1,475. The government aims to increase the number of BCPNP nominations to 10,000 by the year 2025.
